看了網路上的評論，據悉升旗山是檳城非常熱門的景點，經常一早就要在售票口大排隊買門票，抵達門口時，才早上八點左右，真的已有排隊人潮，我跟H先生分工合作，H先生去排隊買門票，我則推著嬰兒車與伊哈在一旁等待。親子出遊就是這樣，揮別過去兩人甜蜜粘膩的時光，現今把孩子、效率放在第一位，重新洗牌。
Based on online reviews, Penang Hill is one of the most popular attractions in Penang, with long queues forming at the ticket counter early in the morning. When we arrived at the entrance around 8 AM, we were met with an already bustling crowd.
To navigate the situation efficiently, H and I split tasks—he lined up to buy tickets while I waited nearby with Iha in the stroller.
Traveling with kids is a whole new experience. Gone are the days of carefree, romantic getaways. Now, it’s all about prioritizing our child and making every moment count. Parenthood reshuffles everything, but it also adds a new kind of adventure to our journeys.
H先生排隊取門票的同時，我帶著未滿2歲的伊哈爬樓梯往上走去，見到開闊視野與綠山，加上氣溫涼爽，對升旗山的第一印象好極了！不過孩子只鍾情於爬樓梯，完全不在意景色，拉著我再去爬樓梯了。
While Mr. H queued for our tickets, I carried my not-yet-two-year-old, Hija, up the stairs. As we ascended, the breathtaking open view of lush green hills and the refreshing cool air left me with a fantastic first impression of Penang Hill. However, my little one was far more fascinated by the stairs than the scenery—pulling me along, eager to climb them again and again!
強烈建議事先在網路上購買，現場買票大排長龍。取完票之後，到了纜車月台前，一樣是擠滿了人，大約等了20分鐘才輪到我們上車。因為人潮很多，H先生先把嬰兒推車推上纜車，我把伊哈抱給H先生坐在腰凳上，我再自己往前擠，想要拍些照片。
We highly recommend purchasing tickets online in advance, as the on-site ticketing queue can be extremely long. After collecting our tickets, we proceeded to the funicular platform, only to find it packed with visitors. It took about 20 minutes before it was our turn to board. With the large crowd, Mr. H first pushed the stroller onto the funicular while I handed Hija over to him to sit securely in a hip seat. I then made my way forward through the crowd, hoping to capture some great photos of the experience.
第一排搖滾區的位置不是蓋的！前方開闊視線一覽無遺，甚至都能聞到車窗外青草香氣，列車與我們擦肩而過，構成山林間的列車，帶著速度感，成為一道風景。
The front-row “rockstar seats” truly lived up to their name! With an unobstructed panoramic view, we could even catch the fresh scent of grass drifting in through the windows. As the funicular trains passed by at close range, their motion through the lush greenery created a dynamic and picturesque scene—an unforgettable sight nestled in the heart of the hills.
來到升旗山，望著開始變多的出遊人潮，感到很無措，一時之間不知道該往哪裡走，瞥見 The Habitat Penang Hille時，我先前往櫃檯查看資料，發現環境非常好，因為需要額外付費入場，遊客少了很多，應該可以讓開心伊哈跑跳，立刻決定買票入內。
Arriving at Penang Hill, I was momentarily overwhelmed by the growing crowds, unsure of which direction to go. Then, I caught sight of The Habitat Penang Hill and decided to check it out at the information counter. I was immediately impressed by its well-preserved natural setting. Since entry requires an additional ticket, there were far fewer visitors—making it a perfect space for my energetic little Hija to run and explore freely. Without hesitation, I purchased our tickets and stepped into this serene rainforest retreat.
未滿2歲的伊哈，還不太會說話，從她的表情可以知道，對於這個園區非常滿意、喜愛！平時總是掙脫爸媽的手不讓牽，此時此刻正自己在步道中快步奔跑、撿石頭，在視線範圍內，我們也放心許多，讓孩子去闖闖吧！
Not yet two years old, Hija is still learning to speak, but her expressions said it all—she absolutely loved this place! Usually, she refuses to hold our hands, always eager to break free. But here, she was happily running along the trails, picking up stones, and fully immersed in her little adventure. With the safe and open environment keeping her within sight, we felt at ease—letting her explore the wonders of nature on her own.
會這麼喜歡The Habitat Penang Hille，主要是護欄做得完善，步道也平坦，加上空氣清新、綠意盎然，滿滿芬多精包圍著，感謝自己果斷進入這個付費景點，才有擁有這一切的舒心。
What made The Habitat Penang Hill so enjoyable was its well-designed safety features, including sturdy railings and smooth walking trails. The fresh air, lush greenery, and the invigorating presence of phytoncides created a truly rejuvenating experience. I couldn’t have been more grateful for my decision to enter this premium attraction—it was absolutely worth it for the peace, comfort, and immersion in nature.
孩子在園區內自由奔跑，對於眼前所有的一切都感到新鮮，從地上的石頭螞蟻到樹上的昆蟲，孩子總是敏銳的發掘，再分享給爸爸媽媽。帶著孩子去旅行，真的非常疲憊，可是見到孩子閃閃發亮的眼神時，又感到無比寬慰。
As our little one roamed freely through the park, everything felt like a new discovery—every stone, ant, and insect on the trees caught her attention. With keen curiosity, she eagerly pointed them out and shared her findings with us. Traveling with a child can be exhausting, but seeing her eyes light up with excitement made every moment worthwhile.
伊哈是個不怕生的孩子，在一處觀景台與一個泰國家庭的小女孩玩在一起，即使語言不通，孩童之間的互動完全不受到影響，泰國奶奶看著她倆玩，一臉慈愛寵溺的表情，讓我看得入迷。

Hija is a naturally outgoing child. At one of the scenic viewing decks, she quickly bonded with a little girl from a Thai family. Despite the language barrier, their play was effortless—proof that children’s interactions transcend words. Watching them, the Thai grandmother’s face was filled with warmth and affection, a sight so heartwarming that I couldn’t look away.
(*Fun fact:* Our whole family belongs to air signs and is full of extroverts—quite the energetic combination!)
有懼高症的本人我，站在這處拍攝照片時，都替走在對面橋上的人，捏了把冷汗。想著我還是站在原地欣賞風景就好，一秒放棄奔到對面拍網美照。
As someone with a fear of heights, I couldn’t help but feel nervous for those walking across the bridge while I stood capturing photos from a safe distance. I quickly decided that simply enjoying the view from where I was would be enough—instantly abandoning any thoughts of rushing over for the perfect Instagram shot!
對！我承認我就是腦波很弱的媽媽！我就是看到這個環形綠意盎然景觀台，才願意付費入園，終於尋覓到此處，我的眼神瞬間亮了起來。此時未到黃昏，人潮並不多，可以慢慢走慢慢欣賞。
Yes, I admit it—I’m a mom who’s easily swayed! The moment I saw this lush, circular viewing deck, I knew I had to enter. Finally arriving at this spot, my eyes lit up with excitement. Since it wasn’t yet sunset, the crowds were minimal, allowing us to take our time strolling and soaking in the breathtaking scenery.
爬了幾層樓高的階梯到頂頭，伊哈喜歡爬樓梯，她自己爬上來，原本是要坐在爸爸的腰凳上，跟著爸爸一起逛一圈看風景，接著聽到管理人員說：「不能抱著孩子！孩子要自己下來走路！」聽到這些，看著防護措施非常薄弱，H先生立刻決定帶伊哈下樓，要我自己慢慢欣賞。
After climbing several flights of stairs to the top, Hija—who loves stair climbing—made it up all on her own. The original plan was for her to sit in the hip seat with her dad while we took a leisurely walk around to enjoy the view. However, a staff member informed us, “Children cannot be carried; she must walk on their own!” Upon hearing this and noticing the minimal safety measures in place, Mr. H immediately decided to take Hija back down, leaving me to explore at my own pace.
沒有想過會到訪檳城，既然來了，就好好看看它。站在環形的半開放式景觀步道上，遠眺遠方的海，烈日下亮到睜不開眼，海跟天空連在一起，分不清楚也沒有界線，吹著溫暖的風，很開心有來這一趟，見到很美的檳城。
I never expected to visit Penang, but since I was here, I wanted to take it all in. Standing on the semi-open circular viewing walkway, I gazed out at the distant sea. Under the bright sun, the light was almost blinding—blurring the line between the sky and the ocean until they became one. A warm breeze brushed against me, and at that moment, I felt truly grateful for this journey. Penang is breathtaking, and I’m so glad I got to see it.
我自己一人閒逛拍照，找了路人幫我拍幾張個人照，逛完去找先生跟孩子，發現小可愛伊哈已經抱著奶瓶正在喝奶了！
（寫這篇文章的時候，孩子已經四歲去上幼稚園了，看到小小軟軟的她，衣服上掛著奶嘴，還是會忍不住驚呼好可愛！雖然媽媽覺得度日如年…）
I wandered around on my own, snapping photos and even asking a kind stranger to take a few solo shots for me. After finishing my stroll, I went to find my husband and child—only to discover that little Hija was already cuddled up with her milk bottle, happily drinking away!
(Looking back while writing this, Hija is now four years old and off to kindergarten. Seeing her tiny, soft self back then—pacifier clipped to her outfit—still makes me squeal at how adorable she was! Though, as a mom, I must admit… those days sometimes felt endless!)
看看，伊哈吸著奶嘴奔跑著，是不是可愛到要融化了！過度放飛自我的結果，直接跌倒，手手破皮流血，瞬間哭倒在爸爸懷裡，樂極生悲。
Look at Hija, running around with her pacifier—absolutely melt-your-heart adorable! But of course, the result of all that carefree fun? A sudden tumble! She scraped her little hands, and tears followed instantly as she ran straight into Daddy’s arms. A classic case of “too much excitement turning into tears in seconds!”
自然而然逛到這裡，裡面賣著各樣紀念品、潮服等，還有一間自然風的咖啡店，想著也近午餐時段，決定在這歇歇腳，休息一下吧。
抵達咖啡店時，伊哈一直要我幫她包紮，身上沒有帶OK蹦，轉往咖啡店櫃檯詢問，店員說沒有OK蹦，給我一些紗布、膠帶，簡單替伊哈包紮傷口。（真的只是小擦傷而已，包紮完看起來很嚴重的樣子…）
We naturally wandered into this area, where various souvenirs, trendy apparel, and a nature-inspired café caught our attention. Since it was nearly lunchtime, we decided to take a break and relax for a while.
Upon reaching the café, Hija kept insisting that I bandage her wound. Unfortunately, I didn’t have any band-aids, so I asked the café staff if they had one. While they didn’t have band-aids, they kindly provided me with some gauze and tape. I quickly wrapped up Hija’s tiny scrape—though, to be honest, it was just a minor scratch, the bandaging made it look way more serious than it actually was!
很喜歡滿滿大自然包圍的咖啡店。我點了一個鹹的蘑菇派（意外的好吃！）、雞肉咖哩餃（吃起來很硬很乾）、可頌（很普通）、紅色天鵝絨蛋糕（伊哈狂挖蛋糕上面的奶油）、扶桑氣泡水、舒緩茶。餐點雖說稱不上美味可口，但是身處的自然環境很涼爽，我很喜歡。
I absolutely loved this café, surrounded by lush nature. I ordered a savory mushroom pie (surprisingly delicious!), a chicken curry puff (a bit too hard and dry), a croissant (fairly average), and a red velvet cake (Hija was obsessed with scooping off all the frosting!). To drink, I had a hibiscus soda and a soothing herbal tea. While the food wasn’t exactly spectacular, the cool, refreshing natural surroundings made the experience truly enjoyable—I wouldn’t have traded it for anything!
用完簡單的餐食，我們搭園區的遊園車準備離開，伊哈緊挨著一組新加坡家庭坐，新加坡阿嬤還幫忙扶伊哈，最後這家人下車拍大合照，伊哈竟然亂入跟著拍大合照，我跟H先生看了傻眼，這孩子經常亂入別人家吃飯、拍照、玩耍，毫無違和。
After finishing our simple meal, we hopped on the park’s shuttle to head out. Hija snuggled up next to a Singaporean family, and the grandmother even helped support her during the ride. When the family got off to take a group photo, to our surprise, Hija casually jumped in and posed with them!
Mr. H and I were stunned—this little one has a habit of seamlessly blending into other families’ meals, photos, and playtime as if she truly belongs!
接近中午時，豔陽高照，伊哈坐上推車之後，沒多久就睡著了。我們搭上纜車準備下山。進到纜車車廂內，一位大姐一屁股想要坐下，我跟她說：「已經坐不下了！」看了我一眼才放棄想坐著的念頭。回程的纜車內，非常悶熱，汗流浹背，心想這是一月的檳城啊！
回到售票口，我們找了間有冷氣的飲料店，我跟H先生各點一杯飲料消暑，伊哈則繼續在推車上午睡，直到她醒來了，我們才搭車回飯店，準備泡進飯店的泳池中。
By midday, the sun was blazing. Once Hija settled into her stroller, she quickly drifted off to sleep. We boarded the funicular to head back down the hill. As we entered the cabin, a woman attempted to sit down, but I told her, “There’s no more space!” She glanced at me before giving up on the idea.
The ride down was incredibly hot and stuffy—we were drenched in sweat. This is Penang in January! I thought to myself.
Back at the ticketing area, we found an air-conditioned café to cool off. H and I each ordered a refreshing drink, while Hija continued napping in her stroller. Once she woke up, we took a car back to our hotel—ready to dive straight into the pool for a well-deserved swim.
